Life imitates art for re-enactment photographer

For some re-enactors, their real-life professions match their Civil War persona.

George H. Anthony of Spring Grove, Pa., is a photographer for the pottery company Pfaltzgraff.

This weekend, he portrayed an assistant to Civil War photographer Alexander Gardner.

"I do it as a remembrance and also to honor my descendants who were in the Civil War," he said.

Some people mistake him for a medic because of his white cotton duster coat. The coat, which most photographers wore, was used to protect clothes from dust and dirt.
