Pennsylvania State Police plan sobriety checkpoint in Franklin County

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police will be out in force this weekend in an effort to keep impaired drivers off the road.

A sobriety checkpoint is planned for an undisclosed area of Franklin County, according to Cpl. Jeffrey Gillen.

The goal is to reduce injuries and property damage, police say. Drivers who have been drinking are advised to use designated drivers or make other travel arrangements, Gillen said.
