Addie Maye Wilson Martin, 87

Addie Maye Wilson Martin, 87, of 14624 Greencastle Pike, Hagerstown, Md., and a resident of ManorCare Health Services of Chambersburg, Pa., since July 2, 2009, died at 8:25 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009, at the nursing home.
Born July 10, 1922, in Lemasters, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Rev. Ira S. and Cora M. (Rice) Burkett.
She was a homemaker and had worked at the former Better Foods Co. of Greencastle, Pa.
Addie was an active member of Hollowell Brethren in Christ Church near Waynesboro, Pa., where she was a member of Kingdom Builders Sunday School Class.
She and her first husband, William G. "Bill" Wilson Sr., were married Jan. 12, 1939. He died Nov. 11, 1997.
Surviving family are her husband, Ezra B. Martin, whom she married July 8, 2001; three daughters, Esther Campbell, Summerville, S.C., Betty E. Wilson, Hagerstown, and Julie Wesley, Fayetteville, Pa.; two sons, William G. Wilson Jr., Las Vegas, Nev., and the Rev. Joseph I. Wilson, Inman, S.C.; eight sisters, Ruth Saum, Betty Drake, Bernice Henneberger and Naomi Mullens, all of Hagerstown, Peggy Jenkins, Covington, La., Joy Canoles, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Lois Willman, Pennsylvania, and Dodie Clemens, Haymarket, Va.; one brother, David Rice, Greencastle, Pa.; two stepdaughters, Ruth Reiff and Lois Snodderly, both of Hagerstown; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Ora Rice Hupfer.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 27, at 1 p.m. at Hollowell Brethren in Christ Church, 14075 Hollowell Church Road, Waynesboro, with pastors Blaine Lougheed and James Sollenberger officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill United Brethren Church Cemetery, Coseytown, Pa.
The family will receive friends at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the church one hour before the service on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be given in her memory to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21740 or to Hollowell Brethren in Christ Church, Building Fund, 14807 Hollowell Church Road, Waynesboro, PA 17268.
