Belinda Ann Whittington, 51, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009, at her home.
Born Saturday, June 14, 1958, in Waynesboro, Pa., she was the daughter of Nora Bartles LaRue and stepfather, Joseph LaRue of Luke, Md., and the late Howard Whittington Sr.
She graduated from North Hagerstown High School in 1976.
She was involved in the Neighborhood Watch Program.
She is survived by three sisters, Sonia Whittington of Hagerstown, Mary Holland of Hagerstown and Bobbie LaRue Larrick of Hagerstown; one brother, Howard Whittington of Smithsburg, Md.; three nephews, Derrick Whittington of Hagerstown, Jason Ferguson of Hagerstown and Curtis Fogle of Los Angeles, Calif.
Graveside services will be held Friday, Sept. 4, 2009, at 11 a.m., at Mountain View Cemetery, Sharpsburg, Md., with the Rev. Stephanie Yancy officiating.
Family will receive friends at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association Memorial Processing Center, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216.
