Three injured when car goes off U.S. 40 into Beaver Creek

A car slid off U.S. 40 into Beaver Creek on Thursday night, sending the driver and two passengers to Washington County Hospital with minor injuries, according to a Washington County Sheriff’s Department press release.

The accident was reported shortly after 10 p.m. A 2004 Kia traveling east on U.S. 40 hydroplaned on the wet road. The vehicle slid off the right shoulder and down an embankment into Beaver Creek, deputies said.

The driver, Alisha N. Baker, 18, and two passengers, Jessy A. Tuttle, 20, and Crystal D. Fox, 19, all of Brunswick, Md., were taken to Washington County Hospital, where they were treated and later released, a hospital spokeswoman said.
