Groups receive funds from Franklin County United Way
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program of United Way of Franklin County has awarded $65,085 to the Franklin County area for services providing shelter and feeding sites in the local area.
A local board comprised of representatives from national organizations, clergy and government has reviewed applications and made awards to the following:
HEIGHT="6" ALT="* "> Franklin County Shelter for the Homeless - $28,000
HEIGHT="6" ALT="* "> Women in Need - $13,000
HEIGHT="6" ALT="* "> Salvation Army - $24,999
HEIGHT="6" ALT="* "> Waynesboro Area Human Services Council - $9,150
The money will help to provide needed services through Sept. 30, officials said.
