8:08am, Friday Feb 5Washington County Board of Education - you made a bad call! Keep the kids home and allow the State Road crews to do what they need to do and give the bus drivers a break. We all know it's coming - there is no reason to put a kid in any type of potentially hazardous situation - irregardless of how many inches of snow there will be at 2pm:(

9:20am, Friday Feb 5Maybe we need schooling..."irregardless" is not a proper word but slang that has found it into the popular lexicon.

11:25am, Friday Feb 5@ghostrider2k...my apologies for not understanding that my grammer would be critiqued. I think you understood my point - regardless of my use of slang.

4:12pm, Friday Feb 5wow..another snow with blizzard like conditions. I am so excited to have to go out and deliver mail in this...I hope that everyone has a safe one and stay off roads when not in need of use. I hope our county can keep up with mother nature she sure has a big one in store for us here in Hagerstown, MD.

6:58pm, Friday Feb 5A huge thank you to correctional officer driving the burgundy Toyota Tundra that I followed all the way from Frederick to Hagerstown tonight on I-70; following you made me feel safer in my little car on the bad roads! You probably had no idea why I stayed behind you the whole way, but it was just more comfortable for me to do so! Thank you for driving sensibly and not speeding and slipping all over the place like everyone else!

12:13am, Saturday Feb 6the road crews are most likely doing the very best they can... i think that the people of hagerstown should worry about themselves and their own driveways and sidewalks. wake up! move your cars so the plows can remove the snow! stop begin so darn lazy and shovel your sidewalks!

2:20am, Saturday Feb 6Been shoveling my sidewalk every 3 hours since 5pm. I plan on staying up all night. Sure is a lot of snow.

2:28am, Saturday Feb 6The road crews will do the best they can, I'm sure. Enjoying my coffee before I go out again to shovel.

10:40am, Saturday Feb 6We cleaned 6 inches off our driveway last night to lessen the amount we would have to shovel today. We can't even see that we ever did anything last night after the overnight snow and wind. We could mow the lawn in many spots and have 30 inches of snow in others. Praying that power stays on, now. The ultimate power failure would be no Superbowl. Bummer.

9:05am, Sunday Feb 7I want to extend a special thank you to my snow angels, Christopher and Nicole Magaw. They cleared my driveway, cleaned off my truck and removed snow from my deck after this storm. They both spend a lot of time helping family and friends after every snow or ice event. Thank you!!

10:07am, Monday Feb 8I want to thank our paper lady for her true dedication to delivering the newspaper on time, which is always around 3:30 in the morning..she was out during the heavy snow fall and covered roads on Friday and Saturday.....I found it funny that mail delivery could not deliver mail on Saturday...maybe they need to hire our newspaper lady! What happened to that USPS slogan? "Through rain and sleet and snow and darkest night"?????

2:02pm, Monday Feb 8Snow?!?! What snow. Toughen up people. I know you are trying to get used to the government handing you everything, but sheez. Get out there and do what needs to be done to take care of yourself.

9:53am, Tuesday Feb 9I would like to thank my "snow angel" for helping to clear my driveway and sidewalk on Saturday morning. I have no idea who you were, but you had a big orange tractor, cleaning the church parking lot in Boonsboro, off of Potomac Street. It would've been quite a task for my daughter and myself. Thank you very much! You were a blessing to us.

2:15pm, Tuesday Feb 9We're having a chill down here in Fla., too. It's only in the 60s. C'mon down for an escape. We need your tourist dollars.

3:50pm, Tuesday Feb 9Wow what a nice thing to say about your newspaper lady who went against the Gov. and the state of emergency law Freckles. That was nice you got your paper. I am so happy you had to mention my job not being able to give you your mail. I am so sorry that we don't have four wheel drive vehicles or AWD vehicles. You are so sweet to possibly get your newspaper lady a fine for being out at 3 am delivering your paper. It must of been the christmas bonus you give her cause I haven't gotten mine in over 2 days. Please don't talk ignorance about issues you don't understand safety is priority for us that go out in bad weather. I love my mail lady she conquered the snow just fine as I did too...Thank you county workers, and all my neighbors who got me out of the snow...Thanks USPS for not making people feel "unsafe" in those conditions.

4:48pm, Tuesday Feb 9Mommyoftwo1978 ...my newspaper lady ALWAYS delivers at 3:30 in the morning-rain, sleet, snow or darkest of night..could be because she has another job she needs to be at later....She will not be fined. And it has nothing to do with whether she got a Christmas Bonus or not...she is dedicated. What has happened to the world? Back in the 60's nothing stopped the USPS from delivering the mail when snow was deeper than what this snow was. I am all for safety, but sometimes the rules are abused. Enjoy your day.
