Winnie Mae Speicher Bishop, 88, of 10114 Sharpsburg Pike in Hagerstown, and formerly of Cresaptown, Md., died Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Aug. 17, 1918, in Crellan, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Sidney and Laura Lewis Speicher.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Shirley J. Yohn of Westminster, Md.; one son, Gary L. Bishop of Boonsboro; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Minnie Speicher; and three brothers, Clarence Speicher, Harlan D. Speicher and Mava Speicher.
Services will be Monday at noon at Bast Funeral Home, Boonsboro. The Rev. Helen S. Smith will officiate.
Burial will be Monday at 3 p.m. in Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery, Flintstone, Md.

CLEARWATER, Fla. - Roy M. James, 90, of Clearwater, and formerly of Greencastle, Pa., died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater.
Born Oct. 3, 1916, in Fulton County, Pa., he was the son of the late Thompson and Anna Commer James.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Greencastle.
In his earlier years, he was employed by the former M.P. Moller Organ Co. in Hagerstown as a pipe organ maintenance and tuning specialist.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joan Bower James.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Ellen J. Gingrich; and one brother, William S. James.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Greencastle. The Rev. James Hughes will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Anthony R. "Tony" Simonetti, 26, of 659 Lohman Ave., died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, as a result of a motor vehicle accident near Interstate 70 and U.S. 40 in Maryland.
Born Dec. 19, 1980, in New Kensington, Pa., he was the son of Rosalind Kernisky "Roz" Simonetti of Greencastle, and the late Daniel J. "Dan" Simonetti Sr.
He graduated from Greencastle-Antrim Senior High School with the class of 1999. He later graduated from Shippensburg (Pa.) University in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in business.
He worked for Cingular Wireless in Greenbelt, Md., as a regional data specialist.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one brother, Daniel J. Simonetti Jr. of Greencastle.
Services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m., at Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, Greencastle. Pastor Ray Kipe will officiate. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Alvin C. Dyer, 87, of Charles Town, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, at his home.
Born Feb. 23, 1919, in Kansas City, Mo., he was the son of the late William M. and Drusie Smith Dyer.
He retired in 1981 from James Greene Insurance Co. in Raleigh, N.C., as an insurance claims adjuster.
He was a Protestant.
He was a member of Kansas City (Kan.) Masonic Lodge 369, regional vice president of the National Association of Independent Insurance Agents and president of Kansas National Association of Independent Insurance Agents.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ruth Vaughn Dyer; one daughter, Marcia D. Kutcher of Charles Town; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, retired U.S. Navy Rear Adm. Donald A. Dyer.
Private burial will be in Bennington (Kan.) Cemetery.

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Dorothy E. Mullins, 81, of 5685 Bino Road, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, at her home.
Born Feb. 27, 1925, in Vindex, Md., she was the daughter of the late Howard and Lula Pearl Sims Knox.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cullen S. Mullins, who died Dec. 7, 1991.
She worked in the cafeteria at the Fairfax County (Va.) Courthouse.
She attended Virginia Avenue Church of God in Hagerstown.
She is survived by one daughter, Shirley A. Stauffer of Greencastle; one sister, Beatrice Kifer of Glassport, Pa.; two brothers, Albert Knox of Hagerstown, and Alvin Knox of Boston, Pa.; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and stepgrandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by five siblings.
Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Greencastle. The Rev. Patrick Clady and the Rev. Paul Harne will officiate. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.

FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Carol A. Sucky, 63, of The Village of Laurel Run in Fayetteville, and formerly of Chambersburg, Pa., died Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born April 15, 1943, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Marion Bachmurski Urbaczewski.
She had been employed by the Chester County (Pa.) Animal Shelter.
She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Chambersburg.
She is survived by her husband, Richard K. Sucky, whom she married April 20, 1968; one son, Stephen P. Sucky of York, Pa.; and one aunt.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Walter J. Urbaczewski Jr.
Services will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg. The Rev. James R. O'Brien will officiate. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

JEFFERSON, Md. - Arthur R. "Autie" Wolfe Sr., 67, of Jefferson, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, at the Hospice Residence in Harrisburg, Pa.
Born Oct. 8, 1939, in Myersville, Md., he was the son of George W. Wolfe of Tranquility of Fredericktowne, Md., and the late Ruth V. Marker Wolfe.
He retired in 1999 from N.E. "Bob" Waltz Plumbing and Heating, where he worked in HVAC for nearly 40 years.
He is survived by five daughters, Julie Curtis of Mechanicsburg, Pa., Lori Stromberg of Emmitsburg, Md., Shirl Wilson of Knoxville, Md., Amanda Wolfe of Smithsburg, and Rachel Golden of Martinsburg, W.Va.; one son, Arthur R. Wolfe Jr. of Riverview, Fla.; one sister, Linda Wolfe of Brunswick, Md.; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Janice R. Johnson; one sister, Julia A. Wolfe; and one brother, George R. Wolfe.
Services will be Sunday at 11 a.m. at Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, Middletown, Md. Tim Moser will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Zion United Methodist Cemetery, Myersville.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. Viola Kathleen Fraley Anderson Hargett, 82, of Martinsburg, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.Va.
Born March 9, 1924, in Shenandoah Junction, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Franklin Delana and Viola Lucilla Darr Fraley.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leo Anderson; and her second husband, Candler Bobby Hargett.
She retired after 36 years from Harry M. Stevens Co., Charles Town Race Track.
She was a member of Williams Memorial United Methodist Church in Shepherdstown, W.Va.
She is survived by one daughter, Kandi S. Anderson of Colorado; two foster daughters, Carol Creek of Martinsburg, and Aleta Eilerman of The Villages, Fla.; two sisters, Jane Miller of Shenandoah Junction, and Wanda B. Close of California; two grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Beata Henderson and Lorraine D. Hammond; and one brother, Franklin Fraley Jr.
Services will be Monday at noon at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. Parker Hinzman will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Larry Phillip Cesa, 64, of Martinsburg, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, at City Hospital.
Born July 19, 1942, in Morgantown, W.Va., he was the son of the late Louis Cesa and Roxie Lemaster Cesa.
He retired from General Motors.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Fanok Cesa; one daughter, Cindy Warner of Harrisonburg, Va.; one son, Rodney P. Cesa of Maryland; one brother, Gary Cesa; and two grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at South Berkeley Funeral Chapel, Inwood, W.Va. The Rev. Ken Fizer will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - The Rev. William S. "Bud" Foster II, 25, of Martinsburg, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, at Shady Grove (Md.) Adventist Hospital.
Born June 12, 1981, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of William S. Foster of Summerville, S.C., and Tina Gaynor Baker and stepfather, C.L. Baker, of Martinsburg.
He was a 1999 graduate of Martinsburg High School.
He was pastor of The Secret Place Community Church.
He sang at Carnegie Hall, the White House and the Kennedy Center.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, James Butts and Roy Butts; grandparents, Charles and Mary Cosey, and Margie Gaynor, all of Martinsburg; aunts; uncles; cousins; and his companion, Ronn Wadsworth.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. Dottie Dunham will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Martinsburg.

Born Dec. 12, 1930, in Tazewell County, Va., he was the son of the late Leman Ashbrook and Pansy Woodall.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ross Ashbrook.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by four daughters, Pansy Gaither, Diane Martin, Hope Dunphy and Mary Webster; one son, Carroll B. Ashbrook Jr.; two sisters, Patricia Stein and Charlotte Martin; two brothers, Ralph Ashbrook and Leman Ashbrook; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Woodall, Nancy Haynes and Shirley Stein; and two brothers, Richard Ashbrook and William Ashbrook.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. William C. Crowe will officiate. Military graveside services will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg.

She was a member of Independent Bible Church in Martinsburg.
She is survived by one son, Kevin Lauffer of Martinsburg; four sisters, Hazel Penwell, Margaret Vincent and Patsy Cole, all of Martinsburg, and Brenda Outten of Rio, W.Va.; one brother, Larry Frick of Martinsburg; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Stephanie R.F. Lauffer; one sister, Emma M. Frick; and two brothers, Henry L. Frick and Donald E. Frick.
Graveside services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Rosedale Cemetery, Martinsburg.

Born Nov. 15, 1929, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Karl William and Edith Louise Minnich Itnyre.
She was a 1948 graduate of Hagerstown High School.
She was employed as a training supervisor with C&P Telephone, retiring in 1985.
She was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church in Hagerstown.
She was a member of Telephone Pioneers, AARP and Morris Frock American Legion Post 42 Auxiliary of Hagerstown.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald James Keller, whom she married April 8, 1950; one son, William L. Childers of Williamsport; two brothers, Samuel K. Itnyre of Funkstown, and Jonas W. Itnyre of Hagerstown; two grandsons; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport. Monsignor Alfred E. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, which will open at 9 a.m.

Born Feb. 13, 1949, in Washington County, Md., he was the son of the late Maurice and Margaret Rowe Wallech.
He was employed by Craig Paving Inc. for 41 years.
He attended the Church of Christ of Hagerstown.
He was a member of The Improved Order of Red Men Conococheague Tribe 84 of Williamsport.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Darlena V. Wallech; one daughter, Amanda House and husband, Geremy, of Maugansville, Md.; one son, Ronald E. "Pork" Wallech Jr. and wife, Staci, of Hagerstown; one brother, Maurice "Butch" Wallech Jr. and wife, June, of Hagerstown; four grandchildren, Peyton Wallech, Reid Wallech, Garrett House and Drew Wallech; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Henry "Bo" Wallech.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. Mr. Casey Strunk will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.

Betty Irene Jones, 71, of Hagerstown, Md., went to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown.
Born Sunday, May 5, 1935, in Romney, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Edgar Wright and Mildred Wright.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Evan L. Jones Jr., in 1994.
She was a member of Valley Grace Brethren Church.
She is survived by four daughters, Brenda Parker of Martinsburg, W.Va., Debbie Miller of Sabillasville, Md., Linda Shank of Hagerstown, and Mary Gamby of Hagerstown; three sons, Evan L. (Chip) Jones III of Moran, Mich., Chester Jones of Hagerstown, and Monty Jones of Williamsport, Md.; one sister, Ruby Durst of Clear Spring, Md.; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Robert Stewart of Hagerstown.
She also was preceded in death by one sister, Freda Shingleton; and one great-grandson, David Harley Kline.
Services will be Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, with Pastor Ray Barger officiating.
The family will receive friends Monday, Feb. 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Raymond Ralph Pittman, 71, of Berkeley Springs, passed away Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Feb. 20, 1936, in Collins, Mo., he was the son of the late Harry E. Pittman and Lillian Surber Pittman.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Carole Catlett Pittman; two sons, Randolph and wife, Laurene, and Rodney Pittman of Berkeley Springs; three sisters, Juanita Harmison of Berkeley Springs, Virginia Kinsley of Pensacola, Fla., and Joann Thomas of Dunedin, Fla.; and two brothers, Basil E. Pittman of Big Cove Tannery, Pa., and Donald Pittman of Baltimore.
He was preceded in death by one son, R. Ralph Pittman in 1998; and five brothers, William, Howard, Harry, Richard and Claude Pittman.
Burial will be at a later date in Greenway Cemetery.
Viewing will be Monday, Feb. 26, 2007, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home, 36 S. Green St., Berkeley Springs.
