Doak-Daniels

Josie Wartelle Daniels of Franklin, Va., and Hoyt Buchannan Doak IV of Chapel Hill, N.C., were married Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Asheville, N.C. The Reverends Edmund Pickup Jr. of Franklin and William A. Whisenhunt of Asheville officiated.

The bride's parents are Kenneth Daniels Jr. of Krakow, Poland, and Munroe Jones and Janet Burhoe-Jones of Swannanoa, N.C. The groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Hoyt Doak III of Chapel Hill, N.C. The bride is the granddaughter of Rita Blanchard and the late Kenneth Daniels Sr., of Hagerstown, and the late Oliver Blanchard Sr., of Lafayette, La. Her maternal grandparents are Erwin Burhoe and the late Donald Burhoe of Asheville. The groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Bratton Jr. of Raleigh and Hoyt Doak Jr., and the late Jean Doak of Franklin, Tenn.

Janet Daniels, the bride's sister, was the Maid of Honor. The groom's father was his Best Man and his brother, John Doak, was a groomsman.

Participants included the bride's cousins Andrew Daniels of Lynchburg, Va., and Kenneth Daniels of Hagerstown, her stepfather Munroe Jones, and the groom's cousins, Evelyn Doak of Franklin, Tenn., and Jack Fleming of Wilson, N.C.

Flowers remained for Sunday's service in memory of family members Oliver Blanchard, Donald Burhoe, Donald Burhoe Jr., Kenneth Daniels Sr., Jean Doak, Dan Hagerty, Elizabeth Jones, and Halbert Jones Sr.

The couple graduated from the University of Virginia in 2004. Josie teaches English at Durham Academy. Hoyt attends the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill.

Smith-Hoopengardner

Jada Jon Hoopengardner and William Edward Smith III were married Saturday, May 19, 2007, at Buck Valley Methodist Church in Warfordsburg, Pa.

The bride is the daughter of the late Ronald and Sandra (Stahle) Hoopengardner. The bridegroom is the son of Diane (Adams) Smith of Hagerstown and the late William E. Smith Jr.

The bride is a 1997 graduate of Southern Fulton High School in Warfordsburg, Pa., and received a Bachelor of Arts in fine arts from Shippensburg University. She is a home furnishings consultant with Wolf Furniture.

The bridegroom received a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from The College of New Jersey in 1996. He is the general manager of the Hagerstown Suns baseball club.

They live in Hagerstown.

Bradley-Resh

Lauren Renee Resh and Ralph C. Bradley III were married Saturday, June 2, 2007, at Christ's Reformed Church in Hagerstown.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Lisa Resh of Hagerstown. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph C. Bradley Jr. of Hancock and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rohrer of Williamsport.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of Smithsburg High School. She is a 2005 graduate of Hood College and received a Bachelor of Arts in communications. She is employed in the commercial loan department at Susquehanna Bank in Hagerstown.

The bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Williamsport High School. He is employed at Maryland Respiratory Group in Frederick, Md.

They live in Hagerstown.

Ghattas-Chambers

Hannah Marie Chambers and Todd Michael Ghattas were married Saturday, June 30, 2007, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hagerstown.

The bride is the daughter of John and Louisa Chambers. The bridegroom is the son of Asad and Velda Ghattas.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School and received a degree in marketing from Towson University, Towson, Md., in 2003. She is employed as a salesperson and designer with OSI in Hagerstown.

The bridegroom is a 1996 graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School and received a degree in marketing from Manhattan College in Riverdale, N.Y. in 2000. He is employed as General Manager of OSI in Hagerstown.

They live in Hagerstown.

Brittany Kay Jones and Randall George Crawford were married Feb. 14, 2008, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Smithsburg.

The bride is the daughter of Marvin and Brenda Jones of Hagerstown. The bridegroom is the son of George Edwards and Mary Zimmerman of Columbus, Ga.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Boonsboro High School. She is a homemaker.

The bridegroom is a 1997 graduate of Russell County High School. He is a health care professional at Julia Manor in Hagerstown.

The bride is the daughter of Patrick and Romaine Hannah of Rohrersville, Md. The bridegroom is the son of Pamela Rudisill of Williamsport and Randy Moser of Chambersburg, Pa.

The bride is pursuing a degree in childhood education.

The bridegroom is a 2006 graduate of Williamsport High School. He is employed with the U.S. Marine Corps as a data networking specialist.
