More than 300 take part in Dash 4 Drew in Greencastle

GREENCASTLE, Pa. — More than 300 runners and walkers entered the fourth annual Dash 4 Drew on Saturday in Greencastle.

The event featured runners from across the area who came to compete in the 2K and fun run.

Justin Dosch of Enola, Pa., set an unofficial course record of 10:01 to win the men’s open division, and Junell Hinsley of Chambersburg, Pa., won the women’s open division with a time of about 14 minutes.

Turi Braun of Shippensburg, Pa., won the men’s masters division in 12:14, and Amy Stahlman of Shippensburg won the women’s masters division in 14:47.

Nikki Garns, 13, of Greencastle, won the scholastic girls division with a time of 12:15, and Joseph Pasquarello of Greencastle won the scholastic boys division with a time of 11:36.  

The “Black Knights” team, which included Pasquarello, Ryan Thrush of Fort Loudon, Pa., Brandon Thrush of Greencastle and Mike Hohl of Greencastle, took home the Golden Sneaker Award.

Proceeds from the event go to the Drew Michael Taylor Foundation, a nonprofit established to make a positive difference in the lives of children and youth.
