Fact: Michigan is the first Bowl Championship Series school to add men's lacrosse since Notre Dame in 1981.

Opinion: Minnesota and Southern California appear to be two that are considering adding the sport. Will the addition of Maryland and Rutgers to the Big Ten encourage Michigan State to get back into the game after dropping their program from Division I to club status in 1996? Colorado State and Brigham Young have highly successful club programs that could try to duplicate Michigan's massive fundraising efforts.
