Man-made wetlands

These wetlands were created by Ecotone Inc. off Miller Lane (off mt. Carmel Rd.) in between two streams the company is restoring. Ecotone does environmental land restoration. They are restoring two streams off of Miller Lane, part of 75 acres they bought in 2006. They've sold forest and wetland credits to developers that need to compensate the state or county for trees and wetlands lost when they develop land elsewhere. Ecotone has turned a cornfield back to a wetlands and is restoring two stream beds on the property.
