Edgar Cayce, a psychic from the early 1900s and the Father of holistic medicine, set up shop in Virginia Beach back in 1928. Today, his Center for Research and Enlightenment (215 67th St., 757-428-3588, edgarcayce.org) has a spa where guests can receive holistic treatments like aromatherapy massages and hydrotherapies- think unique steam baths and facials.
