Yankees: As a unit, this is probably an overrated group. Several of their aging players are still heralded defensively, but aren't what they once were. That said, they've made just 74 errors this season, third fewest in the AL. And Teixeira, the former Severna Park resident, is still an anchor at first. The Yankees had no Gold Glovers last year, while the Orioles had two.
Orioles: Statistically, it's not a strong group (fifth-most errors in the AL). But everything changed when third baseman Manny Machado and left fielder Nate McLouth arrived in August. The unsung hero is Reynolds, who has found a home at first and, though it's rarely been pretty, he's excelled. This unit would be better, though, if Gold Glove right fielder Nick Markakis (broken left thumb) returns.
