Warm and Fuzzy honorable mention

Honorable mention for this week's Reader SunShots series "Warm and Fuzzy" goes to Amy McGovern for a picture of her 7-year-old Westie named Sam. The dog was cooling off after a hike in McKeldin State Park. The photo was taken with a Nikon D5000 camera. Here is a critique by director of photography Robert Hamilton: "The photographer did a good job of using natural window light to illuminate the subject. With the bright light and the white fur of the dog, this could have easily been a disaster. Instead the light ratio of highlight to shadow works very well."
