Perched atop a hill overlooking the town, the ruins of the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100606020000" title="Patapsco" href="/topic/us/maryland/carroll-county-%28maryland%29/patapsco-PLGEO100100606020000.topic">Patapsco</a> Female Institute Historic Park make a cool spot (visually, if not always temperature-wise) for theatrical stagings. The <a href="http://www.chesapeakeshakespeare.com/" target=new>Chesapeake Shakespeare Company</a> makes imaginative use of the space every summer for works by the Bard and others. Love is in the air this year -- a production of "Romeo and Juliet" that incorporates some of the styling of slam poet Gayle Danley; and an adaptation of <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PECLB000271" title="Jane Austen" href="/topic/arts-culture/literature/jane-austen-PECLB000271.topic">Jane Austen</a>'s "Pride and Prejudice." Performances alternate through July 29.
