( Handout photo ) Perched atop a hill overlooking the town, the ruins of the Patapsco Female Institute Historic Park make a cool spot (visually, if not always temperature-wise) for theatrical stagings. The Chesapeake Shakespeare Company makes imaginative use of the space every summer for works by the Bard and others. Love is in the air this year -- a production of "Romeo and Juliet" that incorporates some of the styling of slam poet Gayle Danley; and an adaptation of Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice." Performances alternate through July 29. |
