Meritus Health
The American Diabetes Association Education recently awarded its recognition certificate to the Meritus Endocrine, Nutrition and Diabetes Education, or MEND, program for the quality of its diabetes self-management education program.
The association’s recognition means educational programs meet the national standards for diabetes self-management education programs, which the ADA believes is essential to effective diabetes treatment.
The MEND Center offers the full continuum of care for people with endocrine disorders, including prevention, community education, nutrition counseling and medical care. The approach encourages patients to make healthy lifestyle choices after they leave the program.
Educators work closely with patients as they learn and practice new skills until they become part of the patients’ daily life.

The Hagerstown-Washington County Chamber of Commerce welcomed the following new members in November:

The award honors companies and professionals that provide excellent customer service, as reported by their customers through no-cost, user-review websites. The reviews are analyzed by a team of researchers who calculate a star rating system based on the data, which determines a business’ award eligibility.

Charles S. Trump IV, chairman of the board of directors of CNB Financial Services Inc. , recently announced that the board of directors, at its Nov. 19 meeting, declared a regular semiannual cash dividend of $0.53 per share to common shareholders.
Total cash dividends paid in 2012 to common shareholders were $1.06. The board also declared a regular semiannual cash dividend of $0.583 per share to Class A common shareholders. Total cash dividends paid in 2012 to Class A common shareholders were $1.166.
