Advanced Chiropractic Care

WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Vera Mackey, a licensed massage therapist, recently joined the staff of Advanced Chiropractic Care.

Mackey is certified in massage techniques including hot stone, deep tissue, reflexology, prenatal and sports, and is a Reiki master.

She graduated in 2003 from Synergy School of Massage in Blue Ridge Summit, Pa.



Fahrney-Keedy Home & Village

BOONSBORO — Linda Reed began her duties as the director of admissions at Fahrney-Keedy Home & Village on Nov. 12.

Prior to coming to Fahrney-Keedy, she was a financial consultant to nursing homes in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia, and most recently was director of admissions and marketing for six years at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro. After graduating from Frederick High School, she has kept professional accreditations in business current with various universities in the Tri-State area.

She and her husband, Max, live in Downsville and are members of Downsville Church of the Brethren. They operate a carriage company and volunteer by giving horse-and-wagon rides at nursing communities in the area. Linda also is involved with historical societies and the park service. The couple has six children and seven grandchildren, with an eighth expected next spring.

A continuing-care retirement community, Fahrney-Keedy is along Md. 66 a few miles west of Boonsboro.



Charlotte Motor Speedway

CONCORD, N.C. — Hagerstown native Mark Jordan was named the ticket operations employee of the year during a Dec. 12 banquet that recognized sales representatives for their accomplishments in the Charlotte Motor Speedway ticket office.

Jordan has worked in the ticket department for five years and is currently the ticket reporting manager.
