Previous business experience: Dr. Beverly Chado started Eye to Eye in Germantown, Md., in 1989, and has worked there since. In 2005, Eye to Eye opened a location in Frederick, Md., where Drs. Beverly and Steven Chado work. Then Eye to Eye opened in Hagerstown. Steven Chado began his career at Allegany Optical in Valley Mall in 1983. In 1992, he formed Family Optometric Associates P.C. and leased space in the Hagerstown Walmart. While working there, he opened locations in Walmarts in Chesapeake, Va., Fredericksburg, Va., Hanover, Pa., and Chambersburg, Pa.; at the Norfolk, Va., Naval station; Bethesda (Md.) Navy Exchange; and Fort Belvoir, Va. In 1994, Steven Chado was certified by the International Board of Examiners in Optometry for the treatment and management of ocular disease. In 2008, he was certified by the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association for ocular therapeutic injection. Steven Chado is credentialed through the Army and Air Force Exchange Service, and holds licenses in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Alaska.
