Fiery freight train derailment

( Stacey Wescott, Chicago Tribune / November 3, 2011 ) Firefighters put out burning train cars after a freight car derailed early this morning. At least 12 cars of the Canadian National train derailed at about 5:30 a.m. in an industrial area at 31 West 504 Spaulding near Elgin and Bartlett, Ill., and three of them caught fire, authorities said. The fires appeared to be under control by 7:45 a.m. |
