Funeral train

The locomotive "Nashville" of the Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati Railroad, leads Lincoln's funeral train. The engine is bedecked with bunting, special black-fringed Presidential flags and a portrait of the fallen President for part of the trip from Washington, D.C. to Springfield, Illinois. The train makes stops in 11 cities and helps cement his place in Americans' hearts.
