( Nationalmuseet photo by Per Morten Abrahamsen ) If you're at all interested in Vikings, this museum in Copenhagen is definitely a must. Housed in a former palace, it contains a treasure trove of artifacts from Denmark's history -- we're intrigued by the huge collection of drinking horns -- including a complete teenage girl's outfit from 1370 B.C. and the Chariot of the Sun, a gold-covered disc representing the sun's east-west trajectory, dating from the Bronze Age. |
