6,000 bikes in shipyard

( Adrin Snider/Daily Press / September 21, 2012 ) Shipyard officials estimate that bikes as old as 15 may still be in service by employees at Newport News Shipbuilding. Bikes are considered a privilidge and are assigned to groups of workers in the same shop or individual workers. A many a 6,000 bikes are owned by the shipyard for workers to transit the expansive yard. |
