On Dec. 19 and 20, during lunch shifts, students were allowed to browse and purchase gifts using tickets they earned from the school.
They then were able to get items wrapped by other students and teachers who volunteered to help run tables.
This was a major undertaking due to a large school population. Each student was allowed to purchase five items. The collection started in November and teachers volunteered their time by sorting items, manning tables and wrapping gifts.
The administration ensured it all ran smoothly.
Through the cooperation of the entire school, the event helped students provide for their families so they could experience the true gift of giving.
Tracy Bambrick organized the project.
