HANCOCK —
Hancock Elementary School and the Family School Partnership recently sponsored a program called Dads and Donuts. Students were given invitations to give to their dad or male figure in their life to attend a breakfast Nov. 13 at the school cafeteria. There they shared doughnuts and juice and spent time with their dad, grandfather, uncle or brother before heading back to class.
A total of 247 attended.
After the students returned to their classes, a speaker from the Family School Partnership spoke to the men about how they can actively involve themselves in their children's educational success and be role models for their children.
