Heritage Academy student wins scholarship in Voice of Democracy contest

Tristan is the son of Austin and Lisa Prejean of Clear Spring.
The other Heritage students who competed were Aaron Clark, Kathleen Kidd and Zachary Muller.
“One of the values we are trying to teach the younger generation at Heritage Academy is to stand up for what they believe in,” said Dewitt Powell, school principal. “In saying that, we are highly supportive of our students in their attempts to publicly speak out in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Voice of Democracy program.”
The Clarence Armstrong Post 6241 is in Mercersburg, Pa., and is named after one of George Armstrong’s four sons who served overseas during World War II.
