The Washington County Board of Education will present the 36th annual Showcase of Marching Bands Tuesday, Oct. 9, beginning at 7 p.m. at School Stadium on the campus of South Hagerstown High School.
The event will feature the following bands:
Hancock Middle-Senior High School Panthers Band (2012 host band), Clear Spring High School Blazers Band, Boonsboro High School Warriors Band, North Hagerstown High School Hubs Band, Smithsburg High School Leopards Band, South Hagerstown High School Rebels Band and Williamsport High School Blue Band.
Each band will present an individual performance, followed by a selection performed by a mass band under the baton of Hancock High School band director James Hunt.
Tickets cost $4 in advance or $5 at the gate. The gates open at 5:45 p.m.
The rain date is Tuesday, Oct. 16.
Senior citizens gold cards will be honored.
