ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. — The following area students were named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Elizabethtown College:
— Jacob Dovey, a senior accounting major from Mercersburg, Pa.
— David Feuz, a junior criminal justice major from Mount Airy, Md.
— Thomas James, a first-year engineering major from Mount Airy
— Eleanor McCarthy, a senior engineering major from Jefferson, Md.
— Kathryn Niznansky, a senior early childhood education major from Walkersville, Md.
— Kristen Russ, a sophomore health and occupation major from Waynesboro, Pa.
— Taryn Shank, a senior mathematics major from Hagerstown
— Brooke Wachtel, a senior international business-finance major from Martinsburg, W.Va.
ANNVILLE, Pa. — The following area students graduated in December from Lebanon Valley College:
— Laura A. Bremmer of Greencastle, Pa., completed a bachelor of arts degree in music. Bremmer is a graduate of James Buchanan High School in Mercersburg, Pa.
— James M. Hall of Greencastle completed a bachelor of science degree in psychology. Hall is a graduate of James Buchanan High School.
ASHLAND, Ohio — Philip Moore of Frederick, Md., will receive the Director’s Scholarship of $12,000 annually to attend Ashland University.
Moore has been accepted for the fall semester.
Moore is a senior at Tuscarora High School in Frederick.
ERIE, Pa. — Megan Lobdell of Middletown, Md., was awarded an undergraduate spring research fellowship from Penn State Behrend.
Lobdell, a senior, will study “Spring-back Analysis on 5083 Aluminum Alloy Channel.” The work will be supervised by Chetan Nikhare and John Roth.
Penn State Behrend awarded 58 grants and nearly $59,000 to student researchers this spring. The college provides nearly $350,000 each year to support undergraduate research by its students.
