TOWSON, Md. — Keegan Abernathy has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Towson University.

He is a freshman and plans to major in psychology.

He is the son of John and Vicki Abernathy of Sharpsburg.



WINCHESTER, Va. — Courtney Boschert of Hagerstown has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Shenandoah University.

She is majoring in business administration in the Harry F. Byrd Jr. School of Business.

She is a 2010 graduate of North Hagerstown High School.

She is the daughter of Mark and Donna Boschert of Hagerstown.



SCRANTON, Pa. — The following area students have been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the University of Scranton:



SALISBURY, Md. —  Cara Wagaman, a sophomore at Salisbury University, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester.

She is enrolled as an elementary education major.

She graduated from Smithsburg High School in 2009.

She is the daughter of Brian and Cassie Wagaman.



FROSTBURG, Md. — Lindsey Elizabeth Keyton of Clear Spring has been named to the dean’s list with a 4.0 grade-point average for the fall semester at Frostburg State University.

She is a 2006 graduate of Clear Spring High School.


SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. —  Marissa Lynn Luipersbeck,  a sophomore mid-level elementary education major, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Shippensburg University.

She is a 2009 graduate of Smithsburg High School.

She is the daughter Pat and Chris Luipersbeck of Hagerstown.


FROSTBURG, Md. — At the 137th commencement at Frostburg State University in December, the following area students were among the nearly 400 total candidates for degrees:

WAYNESBURG, Pa. — Casey Crowley of Hagerstown has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Waynesburg University.

She is majoring in nursing.

She is a 2010 graduate of Smithsburg High School.

She is the daughter of Michael and Cynthia Crowley of Hagerstown.


ST. MARY’S CITY, Md.  — The following Washington County students were awarded dean’s list academic honors for the fall semester at St. Mary’s College of Maryland:


TOWSON, Md. — Amy T. Clipp of Hagerstown has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Towson University. She holds a 3.955 grade-point average.

Amy is a senior majoring in elementary education.

She is a 2007 graduate of South Hagerstown High School.

She is the daughter of Galen and Sandy Clipp.



FREDERICK, Md. — The following Washington County students were named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Frederick Community College:


STAUNTON, Va. — Aubrey Sparks of Boonsboro is one of five students from Mary Baldwin College who will participate in the Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges 12th annual Wachovia Ethics Bowl at Virginia Wesleyan College in Norfolk, Va.

The Mary Baldwin team will compete against other teams from Virginia’s 14 leading independent colleges and universities, debating case studies highlighting privacy-based dilemmas.

Sparks, a sophomore, was also named to the dean’s list for the fall semester.



ATLANTA, Ga. — The following area students have been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Emory College:


MADISON, N.J. — Amanda Alford of Gerrardstown, W.Va., has been named to the honor’s list for the fall semester at Dickinson University’s College at Florham.
