SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. — Abigail Urner of Hagerstown has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Shippensburg University.

She is a 2010 graduate of North Hagerstown High School.

She is the daughter of Ann and Hammond Urner of Hagerstown.



TOWSON, Md. — Jacob Macomber has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Towson University.

He is a junior, majoring in mathematics with an actuarial science and risk management concentration.

Jacob is a 2008 graduate of Boonsboro High School.

He is the son of Amy and Andy Macomber of Boonsboro



WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. — Katie L. Coffman, the daughter of Scott and Sandy Coffman of Williamsport, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at West Liberty University.

Coffman, a graduate of Washington County Technical High School, is majoring in speech pathology and audiology.



GETTYSBURG, Pa.  — Jason Bartee of Mount Airy, Md., completed requirements for a bachelor’s degree from Gettysburg College on Dec. 16.

Amanda Gower of Williamsport completed requirements for a bachelor’s degree from Gettysburg College on Dec. 16.



PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Joshua Lynch of Greencastle, Pa., has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Duquesne University.

He is a senior in the A.J. Palumbo School of Business Administration.

He is the son of John C. and Jean Babik Lynch of Greencastle.

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. — Morrisville State College recently announced that Paul Curley of New Market, Md., was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester.



HAMILTON, N.Y. — John Campbell Garrett, a member of the Colgate University Class of 2013, has been inducted into the Colgate chapter of Phi Eta Sigma, the national scholastic honorary society that recognizes the outstanding academic achievement of first-year students.

Garrett received the distinction for having earned a grade-point average of at least 3.5 during the 2009-10 academic year.

A banquet was held in honor of the approximately 150 students who qualified.

A sophomore, Garrett, is the son of Mr. Donald F. Garrett and Karin M. Garrett of New Market, Md.

Garrett is a graduate of Glenelg Country School.
