The works of Caroline Jasper, pictured, will be exhibited in “Museum Art School Reunion Exhibition: Creating, Inspiring and Educating Artists for 80 Years” Saturday, Jan. 21, at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts at Hagerstown’s City Park. 2. Oyster, ham and turkey, oh my!
The oyster, ham and turkey dinner is from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Saturday,Jan. 21, at Rohrersville Ruritan, 21023 Rohrersville School Road, Rohrersville. Cost is $15 for adults, $7.50 for children. 3. Sabbath Sundown Serenade
Vocalists Lori Williams and Dennis Hedges will present “Let Us Praise the Lord,” a Sabbath Sundown Serenade Concert, at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at Hagerstown Seventh-day Adventist Church, 11507 Robinwood Drive, east of Hagerstown. Call 301-733-4411.
4. Rowland on the Civil War
Author Tim Rowland will discuss his book, “Strange and Obscure Stories of the Civil War,” Saturday, Jan. 21, at Antietam National Battlefield Visitors Center, off Md. 65, Sharpsburg. He will sign books from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The talk will be at 11 a.m. Call 301-432-7672.
5. It’s picnic time
Although the Cabin Fever Picnic is noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, deadline is Monday, Jan. 23, to register. The picnic features bingo, bean bag toss, putt-putt golf, food and more at John Wesley United Methodist Church, fellowship hall, 129 N. Potomac St., downtown Hagerstown. $8; $5, ages 4 to 12; free for children younger than 4. For tickets, call 301-733-0391.
