Make Me Laugh Comedy Tour will feature Chris Abeles, Abaylah Banks, Will Ableles, D. Rock, hosted by Chad Beadle, pictured. Local filmmakers Neon Reel will show their short film, "The Black-Eyed Children" at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23. Still reeling from the death of her father, an emotionally fragile young woman grapples with the unexplained appearance of two unearthly children. 3. Rocking the night away
Rock 'n' Roll at the Hop will be from 3:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at Allison-Antrim Museum's barn, 365 S. Ridge Ave., Greencastle, Pa. . Dance to DJ music from the '50s and '60s. A magic show will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at Hancock Performing Arts Center at Town Hall, 126 W. High St., Hancock. Master of ceremonies will be Michael T, with performances by Frank Culler of Culler Magic, Dean Burkett, Khan-Du and Co., The Magic of David Wayne, Joe Tripi, and Two Slick Guys with Louis Paul and Derrick Robey. $7; $5 children; or $20 for a family of two adults and two children. The Maryland Symphony Orchestra will hold its second annual vocal competition for area middle and high school students at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, The Maryland Theatre, 21 S. Potomac St., downtown Hagerstown. The winner will be given the opportunity to be a featured soloist at the MSO's annual Home for the Holidays concerts in December. The winner will be announced at the MSO Pops "Wicked Divas" concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24. 7:30 p.m. Cost for competition is $5 general admission.
