It's a night weekend of skits, songs and laughs at the Clear Spring Lions Club Minstrel and Variety Show. Clear Spring Lions Club will present its 62nd annual minstrel and variety show. The family show will include comedy, soloists, duets and 40-plus chorus and skits. Tri-State Band will provide pre-show entertainment one hour prior to each show. 6:30 p.m. pre-show; 7:30 p.m. show Friday, March 15, and Saturday, March 16; 1 p.m. pre-show; 2 p.m. show Sunday, March 17. It's "Showcase of the Stars" of lip-synching hilarity to raise money for San Mar Children's Home Friday, March 15. Sponsored by San Mar Children's Home. Dinner and a show featuring community celebrities lip-syncing to classic oldies. The show will have an Irish theme. Raffle prizes. Tom Riford will be master of ceremonies. Spring is almost here, so get some tips at the Flower and Garden Show Saturday and Sunday at Hagerstown Community College. Show participants include experts in nurseries, lawn and garden equipment, pottery and statuary, landscaping, tree services, stone products, pools, spas, outdoor furniture, florists, wild bird products and natural gourmet gifts from the garden.
