- There is an annual, non-refundable $5 fee to be a member of our forums. The membership fee is waived for 7-day subscribers to our print edition.
- You agree not to post inappropriate comments. Inappropriate comments include any comment that:
. is libelous or defamatory
. is obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit
. degrades others on the basis of gender, race, class, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual preference, disability, or other classification
. violates copyright or trademark laws
. violates any local, state, national or international law
. advocates illegal or violent acts
. is intended to intimidate or harass
. contains advertising or solicitation of any kind
. impersonates others
- You agree that you are fully responsible for the comments that you post.
You will promptly ask an administrator to remove any comment that you have posted should you discover that it violates these rules or that it is otherwise inappropriate. You will indemnify The Herald-Mail, its parent company, and its and their directors, officers, managers, employees, shareholders, etc., from and against losses, expenses, damages, and costs, including reasonable attorney fees, resulting from any claim brought by any third party relating to comments you have posted.
- You understand and agree that we are not responsible for any user comments.
You further understand that we have the right, but not the obligation, to monitor comments and we may remove comments that we deem inappropriate for any reason whatsoever without consent. We further reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to remove a user's privilege to post content on our site.
We are not responsible for any messages posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message.
The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of this bulletin board. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact and administrator via the "report" button immediately.
In short, keep it civil. Please address your fellow posters in the same way you would someone in a face-to-face conversation.
Please do not cross post topics. Cross posting is when you post the same thing in different forum topics. Announcements of special events, concerts, feeds, bingo, church gatherings, etc., should be appropriately posted in the Calendar.
Do not attempt to guess or reveal some other member's real name, email address or any other personal information.
Members on this board are allowed one member account. Multiple accounts will be deleted.
We reserve the right to terminate any membership at any time. The membership fee is non-refundable.
