Has anybody seen the Dawn of the Dead remake that was out this year? I have it coming from Netflix this week. I remember that USA Network (I think) had shown the first 15 minutes of the film on television to create a buzz before it's release. I enjoyed that teaser, but not enough to pay the big bucks at the theater. I guess we'll see....

Creepy moment.....I just saw the commercial for "Saw" seconds before you posted this. Very interesting looking movie. Unfortunately, I'd have to go by myself if it turned out to be a good movie because my wife would never be able to sit through something scary.

I heard mixed reviews on "The Grudge", the recent horror/thriller starring Buffy. Friends told me that it won't blow you away, but it has some definate super creepy scenes.

Speaking of the Grudge... its definitly a creepy movie. It uses a lot of sound and visual effects, and not too many modern special effects. It reminds me of a Hitchcock thriller. ...not quite as good though. But, the movie made me tense thru 80% of the movie, and i am not normally affected by scary movies.

I just finished watching this one. Eh, so-so. It's worth a rental if you're into these kinds of movies. If you rent it, make sure to watch the entire ending credits. The movie really isn't over after the last scene of the main characters getting on the boat.

They cleverly mix in a good ending amongst the credits rolling. I won't spoil it for those that may watch it.
