Eagles 17

Eagles have at least 3 turnovers. Eagles have < 100 yards rushing. Pats have > 100 yards rushing, Brady passes at 60%+ completion %, but is not the MVP.

TB, you're 19 years too late for that prediction. Bears fan, huh?

Let's see you do the Super Bowl Shuffle!

Patriots - 24

Brian Westbrook - MVP

What can I say? I changed my mind.

Only one team has ever won 3 superbowls in 4 years, and I would like it to stay that way.

Come on SMan, where's that Cowboys flag?

I know Belichick looks like Yoda, but with a little work Reid could make a pretty good Jabba. laugh.gif laugh.gif

The Cowboys flag is retired for the year. I may break it out again in April if they have a good draft or make a big free agent pickup to excite me.

Probably a good move. Did you see that Irvin got past over for the Hall of Fame? Marino and Young were the 2 new era picks. No argument from me about the Marino pick, but I was hoping Irvin would beat out Young. I think he would have made it in his first year if he had kept his nose clean. laugh.gif

But seriously though, 8 superbowl appearances, 5 superbowl wins, and only 5 players in the Hall? Of course Emmit and Troy should go in on the first try. I know Irvin was just another stupid jock, but I always liked the guy, and he has paid a price. I can't think of any body who gave more effort than he did.

The one thing that will make it hard to root for the Eagles tomorrow is remembering the Philly crowd the day he played his last game. Now there's a classy bunch. dry.gif

I always liked Irvin, too (drug problems and all). I think he an outstanding analyst on ESPN. Don't get me started on the Cowboys lack of representation in the Hall of Fame. They're just playa' hatin'.

Agreed. Though I must say this about Tom Brady, he's good, but I don't think he's the Elway/Marino type quarterback that could carry a mediocre team into the playoffs. As much as it pains me to say it, my boy Troy Aikman is another QB that I'd put into that category.

Both are solid QBs and proven winners, but they were beneficiaries of outstanding teams.

PATS 23

Have to go with the old home town team. I've been a fan since 1947.

Paul McCartney says there will be no "wardrobe malfunction" this year. There will be no wardrobe. They're playing in the nude.

Hate to say I told you so but The Pats win again!!!! I have to admit T.O. played his ass off. McNabb looked shaky on and off all game and the turnovers killed the Eagles. The big test for the Pats will be next year. Losing both coordinators will be tough. I think if they can pull it off next year too we might have to start talking about them as one of the greatest teams ever

Have to agree. The main difference was that the Pats defense was much, much better than the Eagles. If the Birds could have taken advantage of the breaks they got in the first half, the outcome may have been different. McNabb was extremely wild. TO surprised me, he played a great game.

Oh, well, wait'll next year, or the year after, or the year after...ad infinitum.

biggrin.gif You are baaaad G-man!

I actually enjoyed the half-time show this year...I must be getting old!
Snoopy
Good game -- went almost exactly as I had expected (and hoped) in fact. McNabb looked very average this game and their 2-minute/hurryup drill looked worse than many high school teams I have seen. What's up with that???

And the commercials were good, too!
