The comercials were pretty good this year. I like the frozen guy driving the Mustang, even though I don't like the car really.
Why is Gwen Stefani wearing a santa beard when she gets off the elevator in the pepsi commercial? Ugh, I just don't like her.

The Mustang commercial was cool........the first twelve times they showed it. Ford must have dropped some money on ads.
My favorite part of the commercials was that about half of them were shown in hi-definition along with the game itself. An excellent presentation all around.

As I sat in church watching the game on twin 8' x 10' screens with my kids and fellow church members, I was mortified when the commericals for GoDaddy.com and that erectile dysfunction drug came on. GoDaddy was just plain offensive, but there's nothing like sitting there as the kiddies hear them talk about erectile dysfunction and needing to see a doctor if your erection last longer than four hours.
After the great care the NFL and Fox put into making sure the halftime show was appropriate for all audiences (which I thought it was excellent - so much better than the cr@p that appealed to nobody but teenyboppers last year!), I couldn't believe my eyes.
What bugs me even more is that GoDaddy.com is not simply unapologetic: they actually intended to offend conservative Christians. That's their right of course, but for the NFL and Fox Television to allow the use of their venue for a blatant attack on traditional morality is just plain stupid. I hear that the NFL made them pull the second GoDaddy ad, but I'm just not buying the notion that Fox has a conservative bias anymore. Will they never learn?
The guy in the Mustang ad just reminded me of the kind of reaction Mustang drivers have every time I blow their doors off in my V-6 Camaro!

My absolute favorite commercials were the Careerbuilder.com chimps! They cracked me up, especially the whoopie cushion one

Chimps and whoopie cushions...you can't beat that!
I just found you can go to the careerbuilder.com site to meet the characters and watch the commercials. It's a good day!
The new Mustang looks pretty hot to me

I thought the Mustang commercial was dull. Go figure. I liked the Ameriquest "you're being robbed", the chimps, Cedric and his "fantasy girls", and a couple others I don't recall right now. I actually thought the "GoDaddy" was funny, but agreed it wasn't really appropriate for young audiences. Done during the Tonight Show or SNL I think it would be fine.

At a "hearing" attended mostly by old guys and gals (from the FCC??), a very buxom young lady in tee shirt that has "GoDaddy" strategically typed across the front has a "wardrobe malfunction" and does a little dance while one of the old codgers needs oxygen to keep from fainting.

The godaddy.com commercial was intended to offend some people. i thought it was humorous because of last years incident. The commercial was 5 MIL for 2 spots and Fox wouldn't run it a second time after the half. These people got exactly what they wanted. People all over like it or not are talking about it and any publicity is good for them. Although I like Paul the halftime show was horribly boring. I still say this whole issue is way overboard. There is an off button on that remote.

Okay, now I remember. Obviously it didn't affect me either way!

There is an off button on the remote, as well as a chance to change the channel. However, you cannot be vigilant every second, and as a parent I like to have some channels/shows that I can watch with my young daughter w/o having to constantly be on guard. The super bowl should be one of those shows, IMO, where the content is tame enough for family viewing. Who decides what is tame enough? I dunno.

I thought both the Ameriquest commercials (the white cat and the "robber") were soooo funny!
For those of you who want to re-watch them... or missed a few... here's a link:
http://dyn.ifilm.com/superbowlads/I thought the GoDaddy one was tasteless, but not really surprising. I mean... (this is a guess)... the majority of SuperBowl watchers are male, right? And this is definitely a commercial that is meant to appeal to men.
Actually, I was surprised by the lack of "buxon beauties" in general. I expected to see a whole lot more in the commericals overall. Guess humor and creativity won out over appealing to the baser instincts of man. A nice surprise.

Moving on ... yes the careerbuilder.com chimps were hilarious. The pilot jumping out of the plane after the beer was pretty funny too.
Nowadays one does tend to watch the Super Bowl for the commercials almost as much as for the game itself, and overall I was a little disappointed. They had some really good ones, but also some that were mediocre at best. Too many automobile commericals for vehicles that were less than exciting. Honda now has a pickup truck? Who cares???

I do. I may actually go look at that new full size Honda truck when it hits the dealers.

Thanks for the link peace. I'm not interested in the super bowl, but did surf over for the commercials. I missed quite a few. Now I've seen them all.
I didn't see Terry Tate, Office Linebacker this year.

I like the Bud Weiser Commerical with the troops walking in the airport.
That was in very good taste.
The chimps were really funny.

The only commercials that striked my interest were the MC Hammer Lays ad where the kids threw him back over the fence and the MC Hammer foreclosure.
I still wish this commercial made it...
