My son may need to have knee surgery after being hurt on the job. Don't know for sure yet, but something "popped" and I'd bet it is even odds he'll need surgery. Can anyone recommend a local doc who may be especially good for such surgery (or non-surgical doctoring) on the knee?

Mid-Atlantic Orthopaedic out on Professional Ct (off Eastern Bl), Dr. Milford, is very good. Not sure if Milford does knees though. But the practice is highly rated.

Over here I'd recomend my knee doctor,Troy Foster. He's alittle hyper when he's been at the coffee but, other wise he's darn good at what he does!In and out, boom, boom, boom. My knee feels real good for the size of the tear I had.
Hope all goes well for you son.Let me know if/when surgery is going to happen and I'll send a healing his way. wink.gif Never hurts ya know.

I know Milford is the "hand guy" for the area, don't know about knees. He's been there (that practice) before for shoulder, elbow, and hand before. Been to Edwards & Brooks, too, for something -- I think broken fingers.

But like anything, usually the best results come from a doc who does lots of the procedure, and I don't know who is the "knee guy" for H-town.

Thanks, Yoss & WVD.

Okay, I checked with one of the ladies in my office who recently had knee problems fixed. She went to Thomas G. Amalfitano at Mid-Atlantic Ortho. She was very pleased with him.
