My obese butt was planted in front of the TV last night to watch the debut of Survivor - Palau.

Looks like it has the potential to be a good one. Definitely some good looking people on this one. The ladies should also like the guys.

I watched. The singing lady was a real nut!

Some of the team selecting did not seem to make sense to me. Definitely some very muscular guys on this one -- they must be gym rats.

How did the winners lose their fire -- I missed 2 minutes and it was when they did that.

Snoop, as they were paddling back to their new beach in their outrigger, the outrigger overturned dumping everyone and everything in the bay. Looked to be pretty deep at that area, they tried but couldn't recover anything.

Not sure I liked the whole pick me and the last 2 are out before they even get to play. Granted I couldn't spend 20 mins. with that nut singing her survivor songs.

It's interesting (to me) that the "old" team is kickin' butt in immunity challenges, and the bulky/buff guys that look like Marky Mark are getting their butts kicked physically by the fit but undefined good ole boys.

But Willard better hope the challenges get more cerebral or he's gonna be out.

Last weeks episode was priceless! The obligatory bumpkin (James) got beat in the physical challenge by the hairdresser and his quote was " I didn't know those homosexuals were so strong. Must be cause they are always working out at the gym"..LOL

I didn't know you had to be a workout freak to be gay ..I'm betting the good ole boys wherever that guy is from will be razzing him for losing to the gay guy

Well the chick with the tattoos got the axe last night. As heinous as she was to look at she did her share of the work and deserved to stay. But another new twist sealed her fate while Ibriham who couldn't stay underwater for more than 3 seconds and lost the challenge gets to hang around for another week

Yeah Ibriham was a real weak player the whole time IMO despite looking very athletic. On day one I was shocked that he wasn't picked early but maybe folks had already noticed his muscles were for looks only. He got his butt kicked repeatedly by less muscular-looking guys. A good move by the other team to give him immunity. The girl witht he tattoos was tough in the early going but seemed to be weakening fast mentally.

I predicted Willard would go at the first opportunity. He was a weak link on that team in any physical challenge and to top it off was not carrying his weight even in something as simple as tending the fire. I think he wanted out.

I think a lot of buff looking guys have weak stamina. They put all their effort into developing their pecs, but nothing at all in developing stamina. One of the guys on the previous Survivor was like that.

I still can't understand why they picked Williard in the first show over that younger guy that got the boot.

Geez, there were so many twists and turns last night it was hard to keep up.

I do like the challenges this season, though. Much more innovative and challenging.

Finally, I can't believe Greedy's a Survivor fan!

I saw a commercial last night on Fox that said Survivor wasn't going to be on next week, so be sure to watch The O.C. That show sucks! Some of you guys may want to watch the lesbians suck face on it though

Most of the challenges have been physical -- it'd be nice to see them drop in a totally mental challenge and maybe something like a game of chance just to shake things up a bit.

I was actually getting upset when it looked like they were going to vote off Bobby Jon. That guy is always busting his ass for that team. They are in terrible shape as it is.....they would have been lost without him.

I'm glad they got rid of this hillbilly. Last week he couldn't wait to vote out Ibreheim
because he sucked at he challenge (which I thought was fair) This week not only did this idiot not hit any targets on the reward but then spent more time tying his toga then actually getting some knots tied. So he accomplished absolutely nothing
but then at tribal council when Probst asked him about it he said you shouldn't be
judged by how well you do in the challenge...James is a MORON!!!

I always liked the reward where they got money and could bid on the covered dishes. That was great. I think they have done that a couple times

I've often wondered how the production crew lives on those locations. Do they get hot showers? I'm sure they're fed fairly well. Probably got electric generators, and propane cooking appliances. And what do they do when they have time off?

In their time off they taunt the survivors with food.

So much for James' special knot, huh? They seemed to get through all those knots awfully fast, even considering for some time-lapse filming. It looked like a nylon rope, and I have had knots in that stuff that were impossible to get out. I'da got that rope wet, and pulled like heck on each knot (like a tug-o-war) to tighten it.

And either that "gun" was not repeatable or some of the guys were awful shots.

After reviewing the tape I concede......James is an IDIOT !!!!

I can't believe how well Steph was welcomed into the tribe. You're right, they better think about getting rid of Tom, from a strategic standpoint. He could win all the challenges; anything involving brain or brawn, he's good.

OK. So tonight this lunatic Janu decides shes had enough and decides to quit! this is after 20+ days and they weren't going to vote her off tonight anyway. This has to be one of the wierdest installments yet. One thing is a certainty. Tom will win every immunity challenge!!!

What a wimp, Janu! Reminds me of the guy last season that layed down his torch.

Glad to see her go from a personal standpoint. She was a real piece of work. Though it did look like she gave it her all during the reward challenge.

Instead of considering Janu or Steph, the tribe should have seriously looked at Tom to vote off. He's strong, intelligent, motivated and well-liked. He will probably keep winning immunity. He needs to be voted off. Since it's all about personal immunity now, they should be strategizing about how each individually can win immunity.

Hopefully at least one immunity challenge will be a game of chance or a game requiring less physical and mental toughness or else Tom probably will win-out. He's a tough cookie, and as a NYC firefighter I should like him, but for some reason he grates me a bit.

With the popularity of Texas Hold-em lately seems like a Survivor poker game would be cool.

The poker game is a good idea Snoop, it would even fit in with the whole WWII/ GI theme. The GI's played a little bit of poker during the war.

Tom's on such a roll if they were playing holdem he'd pull 2 aces and the other 2 would come out on the flop.
