Hi All

Thank you all for your support, your questions and your criticism. It has been a great experience. Hard to believe it is all over. 14 weeks from the time I decided to run and filed till yesterday went by very fast.

I am not upset at the campaign I have run. I did reach out to include eveyone and that was not shown in the polls since you could only vote as registered. I did put forward a plan and good ideas for all of hagerstown and Washington County. Something the winner has yet to do other than telling a group that developement companies are good( I witnessed this personally).

I do intend to file and run for County Commissioner when the time comes. Many of my ideas and concern affect all of Washington County and not just Hagerstown. My base is actually in the county to begin with as many of my friends and contacts are county residents. When I run it will again be an inclusive campaign it will seek to bring us all together for the common good. It will not be a sell out just to get elected.

Many are asking who I support now. I am waiting on a couple peope to decide if they are going to pursue their campaigns even after losing. But right now I support Alesia Parson and Kristin Alshire for Council. Yes they are Democrats and I don't support all of their ideas. Alesia chose to run for the right reasons that everyone needed represented and I respect that. I have had one conversation with Kristin and he is knowledgeable and informed and probably the best qualified person on our present Council. Most all he seems sincere.

Who I will not support: The slate in any way shape or form. I have met Dick Trump on 2 occassions. On both while other candidates were speaking he sat there muttering under his breath and making comments. Since I was beside of him I could hear but not tell exactly what he was saying. The thing that got me most was at the Forum on March 2nd while important issues were being discussed about our future and our city he sat there drawing stick figures on paper. Is this the kind of image we want Hagerstown to be projecting?

When the time for issues came up at the Forums the slate talked about having 10 and 20 year plans but yet failed to provide any specifics about what their plans are. Mr. Trump at one did discuss his issues he told the ladies they all looked very nice, gated communities and developement companies were good.

Our system of government was designed as one that would represent all people having a group that are linked financially and beholden to a couple development companies is not the American system of government. If our founders had wanted only one set of opinions to be expressed and and only one viewpoint to be forced on everyone they would have had a government that was run by one person. They didn't choose that they chose to include many viewponts.

I will not support the slate seeking to totally control all the positions of power at one time in our city government.

I thank you for your time and for your considoration.

Maybe you can suggest to the other candidates that they too come on the forums to answer questions and get out their message. Unless they are afraid to...

Hi Snoopy

I certainly will suggest it. If you all notice Bob Bruchey and his wife came here and I am glad they did. I intend to keep working in Hagerstown and Washington County to get the word out that I am for this town and this county.

Keep in mind the forum that Tony was speaking about at the gated community was for mayoral candidates only. The other candidates did show up at the League of Women Voters at the USofM. Ruth Calaham did not nor did Haru Carter. Funny, two of the slate couldn't make time to be there.

Hi Maverick

Sorry if I confised anyone about the 2 forums. I don't think I said they didn't show up at one I was mainly putting Trumps comments out there.

As for Ruth Callahan it was told to everyone at the League Forum she had a family emergency out of town. As for Rev. Carter I don't think anyone offered an explanation why. But then again did any of the slate need to show up? Afterall they all think as one anyway.
