My score was 53% (Dixie). Just above the Mason-Dixon Line

Makes sense - born & raised in DC area, moved to PA.
Naomi
66% Dixie...I was suprised!

That's a fun test. I sent it on to some friends!
Heather
Hey y'all. Here's my score.

50% (Yankee). Barely into the Yankee category.

I don't know what road goes along side the interstate though. But "I don't know" wasn't a choice. I never called that road anything. It's the road to get to the rest stop, right?

And other questions I had multiple answers for...pillbug and potato bug = same thing in my mind. Hoagie = sub. I've heard of a drive thru liquor store, but I just figured they are called drive thru liquor stores.

Edit: Another funny word choice thing...I've always called a liter of pepsi a "boss". I don't know where I picked it up at, but lots of people have never heard of it and make fun of it.

How, do y'all pronounce radiator?

RAD iator?

or

I do the RAD thing. That's a Northern pronounciation.
Naomi

Raised in MD. College in Northern PA. Living just above the Mason-Dixon line now.

"Brew thrus." The only reason I knew that one is because of my vacations on Ocracoke. You pass through a lot of brew-thrus on your way to the outer banks. LOL
CommuterMike

Here is a common mispronounced word in H-town:

My parents drive me crazy with this one. lol
momsapilot
44% yankee. Since I was born and raised in the Midwest, I saw a lot of my words came out of that area.

Here's a common mispronunciation I hear in hagerstown (and other places)....

It's WASH - not WARSH! There is no "R" in the word "Wash".
Guest_sheash
Hubby's originally from out around Johnstown. He calls the Pittsburgh Pirates the "parrots", but thankfully, he doesn't use "younz"! biggrin.gif

When you get to the 20 year mark are you no longer a Transplant? Or does that stick with you forever?
