My husband and I are big Sox fans and feel Derek Lowe had a right to wear a Sox jersey to the ring ceremony on Monday.

The media keeps saying "He should have worn a suit without the jersey." What's the big deal? The man helped win the World Series ...he should be allowed to wear his jersey while picking up his well-deserved ring!

Bottom line.....if the Dodgers didn't have a problem with it why should anyone else?

On yesterday's PTI (Pardon the Interruption), they were arguing over this. You're right, if the Dodgers didn't have a problem with it, and Lowe didn't have a problem with it, what's the problem???

I thought it was great that he wore the Red Sox jersey. He was a big part of that team.

The guy won all 3 series clinchers last year and was a big part of the sox for several years. After the way they hustled him out of town I'm surprised he even showed

Yeah, Pedro didn't show. He said he didn't want any part of Boston.

Yeah, Pedro didn't show. He said he didn't want any part of Boston.

He was too busy shaving his armpits.

As far as Lowe's situation goes, I don't have a problem with it (mainly because I don't care and I hate Boston), but I think it would have been most appropriate to just accept the ring in street clothes without wearing the Red Sox jersey. His number is not retired and he is no longer a Boston Red Sock.
