Hello everybody. I just found this forum this evening, and I am hoping that it can assist me in my quest to reconnect with my past. I graduated from Chambersburg Area Senior High School in 1980. Shortly after graduation, I left for the Army, and have only been back a few times since. Unfortunately, I have lost contact with just about everybody I grew up with. I am hoping that someone in here has some information about a 25th year reunion of CASHS Class of 1980. If anyone does, please contact me. It's really amazing that while you're in high school, you can't wait to graduate and move far away... Then years later find yourself yearning for the very things that you had abandoned. Of all the places that my travels have taken me over the years, I still have found no other place that I love as much as the Chambersburg area. I just hope that someday I will be able to return again for good.

I'm always seeing ads taken out in this newspaper by reunion groups advertising reunions and looking for classmates. I only remember these ads for Wash. Co. school reunions. Does the newspaper in Chambersburg print this stuff? This may be a dumb question, but is there a newspaper in Chambersburg or does the Herald Mail service that area?

You could also try one of the websites that helps you search for old classmates. You'd probably end up with more spam than info though. Maybe a Google search for CHS 1980? Good luck!

Ditto with classmates.com. However, if you want anything useful, you have to pay. At least that's the way it used to be. I unsubcribed a couple years ago, since I don't care for the people I went to school with all that much.

I agree moms. I don't actually subscribe to it, but they have my info and notify me of reunions, and people can e-mail me if they want to talk. But I don't really keep up with any of the people I went to school with either!

I have done a search on the Public Opinion site already, and found nothing at all. As far as Classmates goes, I cannot access their site for some odd reason, but I had registered with them about 10 years ago. And you're correct about all the spam. I have, however, found a better website, but nobody but myself has registered from my graduating class so far.
