I was watching NBC 25 last night and saw that FEMA has opened an emergency flooding center at Musselman high. I was not aware that the flooding was so bad in Berkeley County, but from what I saw on the news some peoples yards and houses are in 2 feet of water!! Has any of our WV forum members been affected by this and does anyone know what FEMA is offering to do?? Such as clean up or money to pay for the clean up?

I havn't heard of anyone here in Back Creek.

I live on a small hill.I'll never complain about mowing it ever!

Maybe nearer the river.

I only heard about the flooding when I read about it in the paper, but I don't know anyone who has been affected.

Inwood has a terrible time with heavy rain....the area most affected
is in a community known as 'Inwood East', just off of WV51 east
of Route 11...I read where one women has had to let her kids live
with relatives while she deals with it and her husband is overseas...
this is the second time their house had to deal with it.....first in
March after the large snow melt, and now this. Also, the junction
of Route 11 and WV51 west was underwater for some 3-4 days
after a torrential downpour about 2 weeks ago....half of the 7-11
parking lot was under a foot of water...and there is a church parking
lot about 1/4 mile north of there that became a lake for almost
a week.
