- My team, the Cowboys, did pretty good in the draft and offseason in general. Parcells is moving their D from light and fast to a more traditional big and strong. How did everybody else's teams do?
- This super shark agent, Drew Rosenhaus, is really starting to bug me. He's the guy that's representing T.O., Javon Walker, Sean Taylor and others. His claim to fame is having his clients that are coming off good years demand that their contracts be restructured or they will hold out. T.O. is about to end up sitting out an entire season for greed. How many millions do you need?
- How about Kelen Winslow, the Browns tight end, coming off missing his rookie year with a broken leg and now he wrecks his "crotch rocket" motorcycle, in direct violation of a no motorcycles clause in his contract. If my body was my ticket to millions and lifelong financial security for my family, I'd be walking around on eggshells the entire offseason. Kind of like when George Costanza was a hand model and walked around wearing oven mits to protect his hands.

Dolphins: I'm somewhat happy with the direction their going. I doubt they'll do worse than 4-12 next year. We should be pretty solid on defense again, even though I'm VERY angry we traded away one of my favorite players (Patrick Surtain). I just hope the secondary doesn't take too much of a hit. Ronnie Brown should fill the void at RB, but I'm still confused why we dumped FB Robert Konrad. The QB situation will be a battle between AJ Feeley, Gus Frerotte, and now Brock Berlin. I think Gus will emerge as the opening game starter. I'd still like to see Ricky come back once he runs out of herbs, but I'm dreaming. I'm most worried about the OL.

Skins---Stop laughing!!!!
Rogers should be an immediate help. Other than that I don't see any contributions
except for special teams. Campbell never impressed me at auburn and they say he's dumb as a rock. Got a 14 on the wonderlich test then they coached him up and he took it again and got a 28. I can't see him being ready this year and Ramsey will be out the first chance he gets. they better get him ready because next year he should be starting. was disappointed they didn't go for Mike Williams with the #9 and get the next best corner at #25. Cerrato has got to go! Being
Danny Boy's personal whipping boy on the raquetball courts has really paid off for this guy.
Best overall drafts in my opinion

I like Kevin jones. I think the Lions should be set with him. he came on big time towards the end of the season. If he stays healthy I dont think 1200 yds and 10 TD's are out of the question. with all those WR's he should be up against alot of nickel and dime coverage which will let him pop some really big runs. I think Detroit could make a big move this year if Harrington can keep his head screwed on

May 9 2005, 08:21 AM
Haven't the Lions used their last three first round picks on WRs? I don't know if I'm down with that. Three very high draft picks on WRs just seems excessive. Harrington needs to prove he can get the job done and he should have been able to prove that already, without the extra first round WR talent.
I'll agree about Kevin Jones. I came away impressed the few times I saw him play towards the end of the season. I seem to remember watching him a good bit in college, too. Virginia Tech, was it?

Yep he's a Hokie. I think that if rogers would have lasted the season without getting hurt they would have gone for D in the draft. But Rogers has played in like 3 games in 2 years. I'm sure they figured they couldn't pass on Williams. Mow they have someone to either replace rogers or they have 1 of the best WR trios in the league. I think the Lions could surprise people this year and make a run for the playoffs. Giving mariucci another year should make this team better without any new players. Throw in the guys they got and they could be really good. Unfortunately it all comes down to Harrington and so far that hasn't been very impressive

T.O. just got his smackdown on the contract re-negotiaion. Here's the quote from the Eagle's owner taken from ESPN.com:
QUOTE
"It's a non-issue," Lurie said. "There are a lot of things I spend time thinking about, but that's not one of them."
Awesome. Donovan McNabb piled on by saying they don't need Owens to win the Super Bowl.
Hopefully this will be a lesson to the Lavar Arringtons and Sean Taylors of the league.

I like LaVar, but I'm becoming disillusioned with Sean Taylor. If I were a GM, I wouldn't deal with a Drew Rosenhaus player.
As a Ravens fan (actually a Ravens & Skins fan -- I might be the only one), I thank my lucky stars everyday that Tagliabue overruled the TO trade last year. That guy is poison. I can't believe he ripped McNabb -- had TO even been to the playoffs before playing with McNabb? (Asking)

I think T.O. made the playoffs a couple times with Jeff Garcia and the 49ers before their demise, but obviously there was no ring.
I honestly believe that T.O. does not care at all about a Super Bowl ring, but he only cares about having the most money possible.
A side note, but LeBron James of the NBA is turning into T.O. as he just fired his agent and hired one of his high school friends as his agent (20 yrs. old) which makes his agent technically Def Jam Records.

La Var has been whining a lot and I think he is a liar --- accusing the team of rushing him back into action after his injury. I think it was he that wanted to rush back. And whining that they owe him more money because the contract was wrong -- if you're too stupid and your agent is too stupid to read the contract before you sign it you get what you deserve. Waaaaahhhhhh.....
T.O. is a jerk as well and another guy I agree is poison. I'd like to see him out of a job.

I loved that hit, I couldn't believe that there wasn't a flag on it though, was some kind of reverse bulldog off of wrestling. Refs defiantly need to improve. The commentators were saying it was unintentional but how could it have been, he tried to take his head off and almost did, LOL

That's BS. If you condone your team cheating via cheap, illegal hits that could cause someone serious injury, even paralysis, IMO it says somethinn about you as a person. And what is says is not good. Let someone kick you in the #@!!$ once and see if the "no blood, no injury" concept still holds for you.

How is it cheating? It was a legal hit he didn't grab the helmet, didn't grab his jersey and wasn't around his neck, he was close to his neck but was on the upper chest, and if QB's weren't such pussy’s this wouldn't even be an issue, IT WAS A CLEAN LEGAL HIT.
