I don't particularly care for either team, but it should be a great NBA Finals this year with the previous two champions facing off. Both teams should be rather evenly matched, but I'm slightly favoring the Pistons because of their defense. The Spurs defense is just as good, but I feel the Pistons have a VERY slight edge.
Game One is on right now on ABC. I'll predict the Pistons in 6 games.

Pistons will win simply because they are from the great state of
Michigan.

Basketball folks better enjoy it now. If there's no agreement between players and owners by July 1, David Stern said the players would be locked out.
If this happens, the NBA will join the NHL in a trip straight down the toilet.

GAME 7 tonight at 9:00pm on ABC!!!
This has been one of the best NBA Finals of recent memory (besides the game 1-4 blowouts). Unfortunately, ratings and viewership has been terrible since there are no huge, appealing superstars in the finals this year. I hope some of you tune in to Game 7 tonight because it should be a great game. I think I'll be cheering for the Pistons.

I really thought the Pistons had it in the bag when they went up by 7 in the third. They looked very strong, but they just couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat in the 4th. I actually put money on the Pistons too, but oh well.
It was a great series that was well coached with great defense. Maybe that's why no one tuned in because it was actually good basketball, and not the typical glitz and glam of the NBA "superstars" (Shaq, Kobe, LeBron, MJ, etc.)
Maybe the Wizards will make it a little closer in 2006!
