I have two HM Forum confessions to make.

- I have never posted in the huge "word association" thread and have only viewed it maybe once or twice.

- Whenever a new member pops up with a controversial or very opinionated first post, I always run the IP address lookup tool in the mod controls because I'm suspicious it's a regular playing tricks with a second member name.

I'm weird. I know.

I confess that I let my one niece set up a membership here on the boards for her to use when she visits.

I also stay out of the politics section because for some reason those people are crazy the way they let politics rule their lives.

I confess that on numerous times I have called some posters "jackasses" and other unwriteable things.

If I really like the poster, I try to correct gross misspellings, but I don't always tell them that I edited their post and I don't put an edit tag.

One of my friends from the office posts here occasionally.

I copy games and funny stuff from Prince.org and bring it here.

In a thread about usernames, I once posted that Heather isn't my real name. I lied.

I don't remember ever viewing the "word association" thread.

I knew it was there but I've never run the IP address lookup tool.

I would love to know what FIB's and WVDL's political opinions are. My experience is that people who never offer their views on politics are the most insightful and have the best perspective on political issues.

I never discuss my political or religious beliefs with anyone I know personally, with the exception of my wife, one brother (out of 9 brothers and sisters), and my 2 best friends.

I confess that my real name is not Idiot, regardless of what Snoopy and BMIC may say.

I too am happy that BMIC has returned.

I actively participate in one other forum of this type but I post here about 5 times as often as there and rarely discuss the same issues.

I started doing this in an effort to improve my writing skills while I am doing research for a series of books I hope to write after I retire.

My wife is the best thing that ever happened to me.

I really am happy to be here.

(1) I'm a "serial drive-by" poster. I post in bunches when I'm not too busy at work, but then disappear from the board for awhile when I get busy.

(2) Idiot stumped me with the Paul O'Neill claim that GWB was planning the Iraq war well before 9/11.

(3) I did Word Association early on, but then stopped. And I never inhaled.

(4) I usually edit my longer posts 3 or 4 times immediately after posting them, because I'm such a freakin' ridiculous perfectionist.

I'm so misunderstood! Nobody will just let me state my opinions. They all have to keep trying to dissuade me, yet and of course all of their arguments are bogus - else I wouldn't believe what I believe, now, would I?
