The 6th Annual Adams Co. Irish Festival will be held rain or shine on Saturday July 16 from 10:30am - 8:00pm in the shady grove of the Gettysburg Moose Park (100 Moose Road; off U.S. Rt. 30 about 1.6 miles east of the U.S. Rts. 15 & 30 interchange near Gettysburg, PA). With a full day of Irish music, dancers, food, gifts and much more, the festival offers wholesome family fun and primarily benefits the Children's Friendship Project for Northern Ireland, an interfaith peace and friendship building program for Northern Irish teens.
Direct from Ireland, the festival headliner is international recording artist Derek Warfield of the legendary Wolfe Tones along with his Sons of Erin band. Also featured are the Philadelphia area's Barleyjuice, the Baltimore Police Emerald Society Pipes and Drums, Harrisburg's Lena McGinley Ceili Dancers, local favorite Irishtown Road plus other regional performers.
Living history exhibits, music workshops and plenty of Irish merchandise will also be available.
Admission is $8 for adults and children under 12 are free.
