Is anybody else hooked to British shows? I've started watching some of the Britcoms on Saturday night on PBS and they're hilarious, far better then their American counterparts. I've also started to watch some shows on BBC America, and the crime show Prime Suspect is by far one of the best crime dramas I've ever seen on television.

We watch Keeping Up Appearances - you know - the Bucket Woman. Even though I believe we've seen all the episodes now, it's still funny!

My mom and my sister rave about British shows. My nanny came over from Great Britain with my grandfather after WW2, so she watches them religiously.
I've tried and tried, but just can't find the humor in British comedy and I've never seen any of their dramatic shows.
I'll agree that US sitcoms blow, but we have some dramas (especially crime dramas) that would be tough to top.

I love the British comedies! I also love their home shows, "Changing Rooms", "Bargain Hunt", and "House Invaders". I used to have digital cable and was addicted to BBC America! The yummy accents are an added bonus

I have watched some of them.Keeping up Appearances,As Time Goes By,Ground Force,Benny Hill, but after I've seen them all I just can't get into the reruns.
There was one I was watching on PBS called The Darling Buds of May. Then they stopped it to put on that stupid show Fawlty Towers! I hate that show! ugh.
Also I like Upstairs Downstairs.PBS stopped showing THAT also!(wtf?)
I don't watch the mysterys or the crime dramas, because I don't watch the U.S. version of them either.
I guess you all know about the "Afternoon Tea" on PBS channels, right?
I wish they would on a 70's show called Good(e) Neighbors. From the couple of shows I have seen it was pretty good.

The Vicar of Dibley is my all time favorite, but Are You Being Served and Yes Minister are pretty good too.

We've watched Keeping Up Appearances (Onslo is great) and Chef! And not BBC, but I've even watched the original Iron Chef more than once.

The only recent British show I've watched is MI-5. It's a pretty good crime/action series. The King of them all is still Monty Python !!! I discovered it on PBS late at night when I was 12 and have loved it ever since.
Another one that cracks me up, but is also old, is The Young Ones.

My dad likes "Are You Being Served," but I haven't been able to get into it.
I can't help it, but when I think of British comedy, I always remember Monty Python's Flying Circus...I loved that show! And don't get me started on their movies

Edit: Dang Yeoman...you beat me to it!
