Just read in Jefferson County's "weekly" newspaper that a DMV is not coming to Jefferson County now. From reading the article, it basically came down to too much $$$$$$. rolleyes.gif

I never knew that Jefferson and Morgan had to come to Martinsburg. All these years I assumed that they had their own DMV's,till hubby told me otherwise. blink.gif
TPB's better think hard about not opening another office because the one here is turning into a cluster**ck!
They'll have to expand on this one here and I don't know where that's gonna be at.Unless they'll build a whole new one here, but then WTF?Build the one in Jefferson then! DUH!
But,the bureaucratic machine(that doesn't know their *sses from a hole in the ground)will not see that building one in Jefferson will probably save them money in the long run. rolleyes.gif

Turning into? Have you been there lately WVD? It is a Cluster F#%*.

Reason #10 I regret moving from H-town.

I usually only have renewals to do so I go to the drive thru. It's not too bad.At least you get to listen to your radio that way. tongue.gif

Luckily, last time I was there (had to get a new endorsement on my CDL) I was in and out of there in about an hour.

I still think that the rising population in Jefferson County justifies having our own DMV. But all we ever get is new homes. rolleyes.gif

I really hope they're able to get one. I'm considering moving to Jefferson County next year. Maybe I should wait until they open a new office...or just drive to Romney when I'm ready to officially change my residency!

Heh, it maight be quicker to drive to Romney. My wife and I waited almost 3 hours in the DMV when we moved down here. Lovely time when you have a 6month old with you.

I hope this happens......both my driver's license and my vehicle
registration expire in 2007...I don't want to ever return to the
Martinsburg office.

That is good news!
